Moises Ramos (Coachella Valley HS) is a sophomore thrower for the Tigers track and field squad.  For a little guy 5’6” and 200lbs, Moises Ramos packs a big punch.  Moises is currently ranked top three in the state in the shot put (51’9.25”) and the hammer throw (171’5”).  He also is ranked in the top ten in the state in the discus (147’7”).  Last season Moises earned all-state honors in the shot put and hammer.  His goal this season is to be earn all-American status and be in the top three in all three throwing events.  He is a good student and is still undecided as to where he wants to attend university.  “Moises is an outstanding young man who has really made some huge strides in the throws in the past year and a half.  Coach Robinson has done a fantastic job developing Moises into a high level hammer thrower, and has helped guide Moises to some major improvements in the shot put and discus.” Coach McCarron   Moises has the will and work ethic to succeed, and will be a major factor at this year’s state meet and at the university level.
