Bio

Loren Overbo enters her second year as Riverside City College Athletics’ educational advisor. She is the head contact for football, men's & women's water polo, men's & women's basketball, baseball, softball, and men's & women's swimming & diving.

In her first two years at RCC, Overbo helmed the Athletic Learning Center (ALC) and made a strong impact on numerous student-athletes. She assisted in transferring over 95 student-athletes to four-year universities, and the number continues to rise as seasons progress. This total four-year university transfer mark reads three times higher than the remainder of the RCC student body.

Overbo has helped the Tiger student-athletes average a cumulative 2.54 grade-point average during the 2016-17 academic year. The RCC baseball team was a strong factor as they hauled in the 2017 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award.

Overbo is no stranger to the Riverside Athletics. She was a member of the women’s water polo team from 2003-05 under legendary Riverside coach Dave Almquist during his first year as the women’s head coach. She then received a scholarship to attend California State University - Northridge for two years and played water polo and received a degree in economics.

She continued her education at the University of Phoenix where she earned her Master of Business Administration.
