Babcock, Wierema Honored by 3CATA

Two of Riverside City College's athletic trainers were honored by the 3CATA Saturday for their outstanding contributions to the profession. Todd Babcock received the Special Service Award, while Kelly Wierema was awarded the Appreciation Award.

Babcock, who has been a full-time employee at RCC since 2005 and has covered every Tiger football game since 1993, has been an essential member of the 3CATA for over 20 years. His development of the 3CATA website and his role as treasurer have significantly strengthened the organization. Babcock's leadership has created greater transparency and accessibility, ensuring the continued success of the 3CATA and its initiatives.

Wierema started at Riverside in 2018 and has been instrumental in growing the 3CATA membership through her efforts to digitize administrative processes. She is also an active volunteer at the annual 3CATA meeting and consistently works to elevate the profession of athletic training.
