#24 Riverside Keeps Rolling With Third Straight Win

No. 24-ranked Riverside City College kept rolling with a 79-61 victory over Saddleback College Friday night.

The Tigers improve to 11-5 overall and 3-0 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Bobcats drop to 7-8 on the year, 1-2 in conference.

Five Tigers finished the night in double figures, led by Christian Warren with 18 points (6-for-18). Andre Skelin followed with 13 points (6-for-12), while Corey Mitchell was on fire off the bench with 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting. Isaiah Williams (4-for-5) and Deacon Toliver (4-for-6) each chipped in 11 points to round out the group.

Skelin helped RCC dominate the glass (37-to-22) with 13 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the year.

As a team, the Tigers boasted a season-high 57.1 shooting percentage, marking the third-straight game RCC has shot at 50 percent or higher.

It was only a five-point game at halftime, 39-34, before Riverside started to pull away in the second half.

Toliver put the Tigers up by 22 heading down the stretch before a Tylon Williams triple with just over a minute left sealed the 79-61 victory for RCC.

Riverside looks to keep building momentum as it heads to Cypress College on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. tip.
