Turnovers Plague Tigers

Riverside City College couldn't take care of the ball in a 90-82 loss to Orange Coast College Friday night.

The Tigers drop to 11-11 overall and 3-6 in the Orange Empire Conference with their sixth straight loss, while the Pirates improve to 5-17 on the year and 1-8 in conference.

Tyson Thornton was on fire for the Tigers and finished with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Christian Warren led RCC with 20 points (6-for-17) and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds, while Corey Mitchell chipped in 13 points (5-for-10) and Myon Kirlew added 11 points (4-for-7).

As a team, RCC committed 27 turnovers, resulting in 29 points for OCC.

The Tigers look to snap out of their funk on the road, heading to Saddleback College on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
