Pounds Named OEC Male Athlete of the Week

Riverside City College's PJ Pounds was named the Orange Empire Conference Male Athlete of the Week after helping the Tigers grab a big win over No. 12-ranked Ventura on Saturday.

The sophomore forward finished with 21 points (9-for-15) and 13 rebounds to help RCC post a 78-72 win over the Pirates. He finished the week averaging 20.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game over three games.

Riverside closed out its home games for the 2025 portion of its schedule on Wednesday, defeating No. 13-ranked San Bernardino Valley College 69-62. The Tigers close out the year on the road, first heading to the College of the Desert next Tuesday for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
