Riverside City College took on No. 4-ranked Citrus College but couldn't contain the Owls in a 109-76 loss Friday night.
The Tigers drop to 8-6 on the year, while the Owls improve to 12-1 overall.
Kollen Murphy led Riverside with 22 points (8-for-17), while Kavon Ray chipped in 12 points (2-for-6) off the bench.
As a team, RCC shot a solid 43.1 percent from the floor, but Citrus was on fire, finishing with a 58.7 shooting percentage, including 52.2 percent from beyond the arc.
The Tigers take a break before picking back up in the new year as they start Orange Empire Conference action on Jan. 7 at Orange Coast College.
