No. 28-ranked Riverside City College bounced back with a 77-59 victory over No. 22-ranked Saddleback College on Wednesday night on the road.
The Tigers improve to 10-7 on the year and 2-1 in Orange Empire Conference action, while the Bobcats slip to 9-8 overall with their third conference loss.
Three Tigers finished in double figures, with Kavon Ray posting a game-high 19 points (7-for-14). Matthias Tinker (6-for-10) and PJ Pounds (6-for-7) each chipped in 12 points as well.
Pounds led RCC with 12 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the year, while Tinker made three blocks on the night.
As a team, Riverside was on fire from the perimeter and finished with a 47.1 shooting percentage from beyond the arc, while holding Saddleback to just a 16.0 three-point shooting percentage.
The Tigers look to build on momentum as No. 30-ranked Irvine Valley College comes to town on Friday for a 5 p.m. tip-off in Wheelock Gymnasium.
