Tigers Tame the Griffins

Match Notes:

      RCC went on the road for a convincing victory over Grossmont Community College from the Pacific Coast Conference

  •          Freshman Eliott Moreno started the Tigers off with a dominating performance in the #5 spot, 6-0, 6-3
  •          Sophomore Jordan Gobatie kept the Tigers rolling, dominating the #1 spot 6-0, 6-1
  •          Sophomore Gustavo Carvalho and freshman Danny Garcia followed up with convincing wins at the #5 and #3 spots respectively.
  •          Sophomore Aliaksandr Pesniak sealed the victory for the Tigers, putting the Tigers up 5-0.
  •          Sophomore sensation Josh Stevenson, the Pride of Yucaipa, kept the Tigers perfect in singles with an amazing comeback win at the #6 singles position.
  •          The Tigers finished singles 6-0, without dropping a set.
  •          In doubles, the sophomore tandem of Gobatie and Pesniak paired up for the first time at #1 spot for the Tigers, winning convincingly 6-1, 6-0
  •          RCC now looks forward to their non-conference city-wide matchup at Andulka Park against the University of California, Riverside, Thursday, February 7th (12:00).  They then hit the road again on Friday to face Victor Valley from the Foothill Conference
