Tigers Fall to D1 Foe
Match Notes:
· RCC headed down the road to Andulka Park for their first loss of the season. The Tigers were overmatched against the Division I Highlander team from UCR.
· The freshman tandem of Danny Garcia and Eliott Moreno gave the Tigers the best effort for the team in doubles. They were down 4-5, on serve, when the doubles point was decided (UCR winning at #1 and #3 doubles).
· Sophomores Jordan Gobatie and Gustavo Carvalho gave the Tigers the best singles matches of the day.
· Gobatie battled back after a first set loss to take the lead in the second set before eventually losing the second set 4-6.
· Carvalho kept it close, losing both sets 6-3, 6-3.
· RCC now looks forward to their return to community college action against Victor Valley College, Friday, February 8th (2:00). Next week they return home for matches against Mt SAC and Cypress.
