Heading into their fourth consecutive Super Regional appearance (and first time as host), the RCC Tigers have won their last five games and 30 of their last 32. Their only losses during that stretch were the third-place team in the OEC, Santiago Canyon, (March 22, a 1-0 loss, and April 17, a 4-3 loss) in a pair of "walk-off" setbacks in the bottom of the seventh inning. On the positive side, RCC has posted wins over all three teams: Citrus (a five-inning, 15-0 home win, Apr. 13), Canyons (a five-inning, 15-3 road win, Feb. 19), and Santiago Canyon (a five-inning, 17-3 home win, Feb. 27).
The two Super Regional tournament bracket winners will advance to the four-team state championships, Friday – Sunday, May 17-19, at the Dean and Adah Gay Sports Complex on the campus of Bakersfield College.
