It came down to the wire, but No. 26-ranked Riverside City College couldn't overcome No. 15-ranked Santa Ana College Wednesday.
The Tigers drop to 11-8 on the year and 3-2 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Dons improve to 17-2 overall, 3-2 in conference.
Four Tigers finished the night in double figures, led by Kollen Murphy with 16 points (6-fpr-18). Tylon Williams (5-for-14) and Reggie Caldwell (3-for-6) each chipped in 11 points, while PJ Pounds rounded out the quartet with 10 points (3-for-12) and 14 rebounds.
Defensively, Pounds (four) and Matthias Tinker (three) combined for seven blocks, while Jabari Harris grabbed four steals in the game.
Riverside looks to bounce back on the road as it heads to Cypress College on Friday for a 5 p.m. contest.
