RCC Competes at Two Different Meets

Results Results

Riverside City College competed at two different meets on Friday and Saturday: the Triton Invitational at UC San Diego and the Moorpark Open at Moorpark College.

Moorpark Invite

Kaycia Carridice took third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.93 seconds.

K'si Brooks grabbed third in the 400-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 1:11.44, while Isabella Ibibosemoses took fifth in 1:13.40 – both of which were personal-best times.

Caitlyn Brody posted her best time of 12:46.94 in the 3K steeplechase to take third, while Isabella Chavez grabbed sixth (13:41.87).

Janel Lugo-Bournonnias took fifth in the 400-meter race after clocking in at 59.76 seconds, while Deja Moore followed in seventh with a personal-best time of 1:03.14.

Gina Misiaita posted the fifth-best throw in the shot put at 11.18 meters, while Nyeta Urquides was right behind her in sixth (11.06 meters). Kenzy Eden also finished in the top 10 with a throw of 10.09 meters (10th).

Eden then took fifth in the discus with a mark of 34.44 meters, while Skylar Svidergol followed in sixth, just .21 meters behind her teammate.

Svidergol posted a personal-best throw of 43.68 meters in the hammer to earn herself fifth place, while Alexandra Franco followed in eighth place with a mark of 39.21 meters.

Stephanie Brittin finished eighth in the long jump with a mark of 5.35 meters – her personal best so far.

Triton Invitational

Nyah Brown grabbed fourth in the shot put, finishing with a mark of 12.87 meters. Victoria Redd followed in 15th place with a toss of 11.37 meters.

Celeste Mendoza took sixth in the 10K, clocking in at 41:27.58, while Jessica Munoz followed in 42:24.41 to take eighth.

Sara Brittin took 15th in the javelin with a mark of 35.29 meters.

The Tigers' 4x400 relay team finished fourth overall in 3:51.72, while the 4x100 relay team took eighth overall with a time of 47.32 seconds.

RCC heads to the Mt. SAC Invite on Saturday before returning home to host the Orange Empire Conference Prelims (April 17) and Finals (April 24).
