Smith Grabs Another OEC Coach of the Year Honor

Riverside City College women's track and field head coach Damien Smith earned his 14th consecutive Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year honors.

Smith led the Tigers to capture their 14th straight OEC championship, routing the competition by nearly 200 points. Twelve athletes finished atop the podium to secure the victory.

RCC also finished in third place at the SoCal Championship in a thrilling end that saw the competition come down to the final race for the Tigers to earn their spot on the podium.

The Tigers head to Mt. San Antonio College for the 3C2A State Championship this weekend.
