Tiger Alum Gets Call to Big League
Another Riverside City College alum is getting his chance at the big league as Michael Petersen was called up to the Dodgers on Sunday. He will be the first player to don a Dodger jersey with the number 90 on it.
The former Tiger right-handed pitcher signed with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2015 and has lately been making waves in Minor League action with the Oklahoma City Baseball Club.
In his MiLB career, Petersen has appeared in 167 games, including 23 this year, with 10 wins and 12 saves. This year alone, he boasts a 2-0 record with four saves and a 1.61 ERA with 31 strikeouts.
The Dodgers are in the middle of a four-game series at the Colorado Rockies, playing tonight at 5:40 p.m. Pacific.
