Riverside Posts Best Score of the Season

Riverside City College posted its best team score of the season with a 378 and took sixth at the fourth Orange Empire Conference event of the season, hosted by Orange Coast College at the Costa Mesa CC.

Cypress College won the event with a 356, while OCC took second (360) and College of the Desert was two strokes behind in third. Victor Valley College (371), Mt. San Antonio College (372), and RCC (378) filled in spots four through six, while Mt. San Jacinto College (380), Cuyamaca (394), and El Camino College (402) rounded out the final schools.

All five scorers for RCC finished under 80 with Brayden Gilpin and Carson Escobedo leading the Tigers, each carding 74s. Elijah Gonzalez was one stroke behind with a 75, while Rigo Navarro posted a 77 and Mathew Flicker rounded out the five with a 78.

The Tigers continue OEC action and head to Victo Valley's home course next week, teeing off at 9 a.m. on Monday at the Bear Valley CC.
