Tigers Grab Highest Finish So Far

Riverside City College grabbed its highest placing yet at the fifth Orange Empire Conference competition of the year.

The Tigers finished with a 388 to take fourth at the Bear Valley CC, while Orange Coast College won the event with a 368. College of the Desert took second with a 376, while Cypress finished third with a 378.

Elijah Gonzales led RCC with an even-par 72 on the day. Rigo Navarro was just three strokes behind him with a 75 and Caden Rossi carded a 77. Brayden Gilpin finished with a 79 and Carson Escobedo posted an 85 to round out the scorers for the Tigers. Matt Flicker was Riverside's drop score with a 92.

RCC returns to the Victoria Country Club on Monday to host the sixth conference competition of the season, teeing off at 11 a.m.
