Bio

Steve Sigloch was named the Riverside City College Tigers' head men's golf coach in 2009, and he has enjoyed tremendous success leading the Tigers program ever since. During his tenure, Sigloch has coached numerous All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State players while establishing RCC as one of the premier community college golf programs in California. Most recently, the Tigers advanced to the SoCal Regional Championships, and Ashton Spaulding qualified for the 3C2A State Championship, where he finished 12th overall. In 2024, RCC had two Tigers qualify for the SoCal Regional and advance to the 3C2A State
Championship. Ronny Zheng earned All-State honors with a sixth-place individual finish after beginning the tournament tied for 22nd following the opening round. In 2018, the Tigers advanced to the SoCal Regional and finished seventh at the State Championship. The previous season was one of the most successful in program history, as RCC captured both the Orange Empire Conference Championship and the SoCal Regional
Championship. Everett Najera was named the 2017 OEC Player of the Year and won the SoCal Regional individual title, while the Tigers placed third overall at the State Championship. Sigloch’s 2015 squad also enjoyed an outstanding season, winning the OEC Championship, finishing fourth at the SoCal Regional Championship, and placing fourth at the 3C2A State Championship. Sophomore Chad Hambright earned OEC Player of the Year honors. The 2014 season marked a historic milestone for the program as the Tigers won the 3C2A State Championship on their home course at Victoria Club, securing the first men’s golf state title in Riverside City College history. In 2010, RCC finished third at the Southern California Regional Championship and fourth at the CCCAA State Championship. That same year, Nick Paez captured the SoCal Regional individual championship. In Sigloch’s first season as head coach in 2009, Kendall Jenkins won RCC’s first individual Golf State Championship. Before coaching golf at RCC, Sigloch spent 15 years as an assistant football coach for the Tigers, including three seasons as defensive coordinator, where he built a reputation for developing outstanding defensive units. Sigloch began his coaching career at Riverside Polytechnic High School, where he was a standout two-sport athlete. He later attended the University of Utah, competing in both football and baseball while earning Western Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete honors twice. In 1990, he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers and spent two seasons in the organization. In addition to coaching, Sigloch serves as Chair of the Kinesiology Department at Riverside City College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah and a master’s degree in kinesiology from Azusa Pacific University. He resides in Riverside with his wife, Chancy, and their children, Jack and Ryann.
