Riverside Swims Away with Win at Riverside Invitational

Riverside City College hosted the Riverside Invitational Friday and Saturday, beating out eight teams to win the two-day event.

The Tigers won with 1,001 points, while Orange Coast College followed in second with 824 points. Ventura College rounded out the top three teams with 522 points.

RCC swept the 200-yard butterfly as Nicole Robertson won in 2:26.28, while Isadora Taylor followed in second (2:29.70) and Michelle Manookian took third (2:43.15).

Robertson also won the 400 individual medley race with a time of 5:06.64, while Taylor took second in 5:07.12.

Kaia Boone won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:40.93, while Presley Burrell took third in 2:42.91. Boone also took second in the 200-yard IM (2:25.99) and in the 100-yard breast (1:13.01).

RCC's team of Savanna Ettinger, Boone, Taylor, and Samantha Thomas won the 200 medley relay in 1:59.21.

The 800-yard relay team (Clare Baty, Ettinger, Boone, Yosra Elseifi) took second with a time of 8:47.17. The Tigers' 400 medley relay team (Robertson, Burrell, Taylor, Thomas) also took second in 4:27.17.

Emily Parker scored a 104.70 on the 1-meter diving board to take second.

Riverside is back at home on Friday, hosting the second Orange Empire Conference meet of the year.
