Tigers Take Third at Mt. SAC Invite
Riverside City College took third at the Mt. San Antonio College Invite on Friday with 581 team points. Long Beach City College won the event with 934 points, while the host Mounties took second (712).
Kate Simmons took first place in the 1-meter diving board with 145.30 points, while Emily Parker wasn't far behind with 142.50 points. Parker shared the spotlight with a first-place finish on the 3-meter board, posting 151.40 points.
Ashlyn Allen highlighted the swimming portion of the meet with a first-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. She finished in two minutes, 39.39 seconds for a three-second improvement on her season best time.
Isadora Taylor grabbed third in the 400-yard individual medley, clocking in at 5:10.40. Ashlyn followed closely behind in fourth with a time of 5:15.02.
Kaia Boone finished runner-up in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:23.56 and took third in the 100-yard IM after posting a time of 1:05.35.
Brianna Hoover grabbed third in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 1:16.11.
Taylor also took fourth in the 200-yard butterfly, touching the wall in 2:30.34. Kailin Stumpf followed in 3:02.52. Taylor grabbed sixth in the 100-yard fly, while Beall also finished in the top 10 with a time of 1:13.37.
Keira Casey led a bunch of Tigers in the 200-yard backstroke, taking fourth overall with a time of 2:30.44. Madison Faulkner posted a time of 2:33.33 to take fifth, while Sophia Rodriguez (2:47.64) and Keira McDonald (2:55.53) rounded out the quartet.
Casey also grabbed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:09.01. Rodriguez followed in sixth place with a time of 1:14.22.
Isabella Stolpp finished the 200-yard free in 2:08.93, while Audra Lacey followed in 2:10.91. Stolpp also took fifth in the 50-yard free, touching the wall in 26.13 seconds, and sixth in the 100-yard free (57.65 seconds).
Angelina Beall posted a time of 24:10.20 in the 1650-yard freestyle, while America Garcia followed in 25:33.55.
The Tigers' 200-yard free relay team took fifth with a time of 1:47.10, while RCC's 400-yard medley relay team finished fourth in 4:29.78.
