Riverside Opens OEC Victorious
Riverside City College opened Orange Empire Conference action with a huge win, grabbing 612 team points to take first place.
The Tigers beat out Orange Coast College (443) by 169 points, while Golden West College finished third with 407 points.
RCC went one-two in the 50-yard freestyle as Isabella Stolpp won the event in 26.19 seconds and Kaia Boone followed right on her tail in 26.51 seconds.
Audra Lacey took third in the 500-yard free with a time of 5:55.19, while Madison Faulkner took fifth in 6:05.20.
Boone also grabbed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:07.16 and finished third in the 200-yard individual medley, clocking in at 2:25.63. Keira Casey took third in the 100-yard back with a time of 1:09.96, while Ashlyn Allen (2:25.94) and Isadora Taylor (2:26.23) took fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 200-yard IM.
Talor finished second in the 1650-yard free, touching the wall in 19:45.41, while Lacey took third in 20:27.68. Casey finished third in the 200-yard back with a time of 2:29.65.
Emily Parker took second on the 1-meter diving board with a score of 144.45 points, while Kate Simmons followed in third with 140.25 points. Parker also finished runner-up on the 3-meter board with 120.75 points.
Stolpp also finished runner-up in the 100-yard free with a time of 56.50 seconds and took fourth in the 200-yard free with a time of 2:12.42.
RCC grabbed second in the 200-yard free relay with a time of 1:46.79 and took third in the 200-yard medley relay (2:01.00).
Riverside hosts the Riverside Invitational next weekend at Crafton Hills College, with Friday's action beginning at 10 a.m.
