Tigers Sit in Second After First Day of OEC Championship

Riverside City College sits in second place after the first round of the Orange Empire Conference Championship, 12 points behind Orange Coast College.

The Tigers sit in second with 26.34 points, while the Pirates are in the lead with 38.64 points.

Yosra Elseifi posted a time of five minutes, 28.62 seconds in the 500-yard free to take second.

Nicole Robertson and Kaia Boone took second and third in the 200-yard individual medley, posting respective times of 2:19.77 and 2:22.16.

Samantha Thomas finished in third in the 50-yard free with a time of 25.15 seconds, while Michelle Manookian followed in 25.98 seconds.

The Tigers took second in the 200-yard free relay with a time of 1:43.34, while also grabbing second in the 400-yard medley after finishing in 4:15.08.

RCC continues the three-day championship on Friday, with prelims starting at 9:30 a.m.
