Tigers Grab All-American Honors
Riverside City College saw three individuals and four relay teams earn All-American honors following the conclusion of the season.
Isadora Taylor, Kaia Boone, and Ashlyn Allen all picked up individual honors, while the Tigers' 200-yard, 400-yard, and 800-yard freestyle relay teams, along with the 400-yard medley relay team also earned the distinction.
Taylor grabbed All-American honors in both the 1650-yard freestyle and the 400-yard individual medley. She finished 11th overall at the 3C2A State Championship in the 1650 free with a personal-best time of 19 minutes, 9.10 seconds, and took 14th overall in the 400 IM, clocking in at 4:59.38. Her best time in the 400 IM came at the Orange Empire Conference Championship, where she took third at 4:55.07.
Boone qualified for the State Championship in the 100-yard breaststroke and took 11th overall with a personal-best time of 1:08.67.
Allen grabbed double individual honors in the 200-yard breaststroke and 400 IM. She posted a time of 2:37.98 in the 200-yard breast at State but finished in her best time of 2:35.83 at the OEC Championship. In the 400 IM, Allen finished in 15th overall, clocking in at 5:05.67 at the State Championship. Her best 400 IM time came at the OEC Championships as well, touching the wall in 5:02.85.
RCC's 200-yard free team consisted of Brianna Hoover, Boone, Allen, and Isabella Stolpp. The group finished 13th at State with a time of 1:42.77
The Tigers' 400-yard free of Madison Faulkner, Boone, Allen, and Stolpp also qualified for State and finished 14th overall with a time of 3:47.92.
Riverside's 800-yard free team was comprised of Faulkner, Taylor, Audra Lacey and Stolpp. They finished in 14th at the 3C2A Championship with a time of 8:22.99, beating out familiar foe Orange Coast College by seven seconds.
Keira Casey, Allen, Taylor, and Stolpp made up the Tigers' 400-yard medley team, which posted its best time of the season at the OEC Championship, clocking in at 3:45.87.
