Men’s Cross Country Places Third at CSUSB Coyote Invitational

It was a strong day for the Riverside City College men's cross country team as they competed against four-year competition at the CSU San Bernardino Invitational on Saturday morning. The Tigers leaned on a third-place finish from sophomore Gavyn Condit leading to a third place team finish.

It is the second-consecutive week that the Tigers faced off against four-year universities after lacing it up at the UR Invitational last Saturday. Riverside continued to prove why they are one of the deadliest programs in the state. They finsihed as the highest CCCAA school in the meet defeating Crafton Hills and Pasadena.

Condit led the Tigers for the second-consecutive week as he landed on the podium. His team-best 25:38.0 time earned him third place. His splits were impressive as they hovered around the five-minute mile mark.

Nicandro Rosas and Vincent Navarro landed inside the top-20 as the placed 13th and 14th, consecutively. Rosas earned a time of 26:35.7, while Navarro finished narrowly behind at 26:40.6.

Sophomore duo David Rush and Raen Reyes squeaked in the top-20 as well. Rush placed 17th overall with a clip of 26:48.6, while Reyes followed with a 26:50.4 mark.

Sophomore Kyle Reden rounded out the top five with a 22nd place finish after crossing the line at 26:58.3.
