Tigers Take Third Against Top Teams in SoCal

Results

No. 4-ranked Riverside City College competed in two races at the Manny Bautista Invite. The Tigers took third (96 points) out of 22 teams in the invite race and finished second in the overflow race.

Joshua West led RCC in the invite with a time of 20 minutes, 48.70 seconds to take seventh overall, while Alex Wesolowski followed in 21:03.40 for 11th. Luis Mier took 15th, clocking in at 21:09.50, before Martin Sandoval finished in 33rd with a time of 21:39.20. Angel Gomez posted his best time of the season (21:42.90) to help secure the top-five finish for RCC.

Nathan Luce and Dyeem Tolbert rounded out the seven scorers for Riverside, finishing in 22:01.10 and 22:05.00, respectively.

In the overflow race, Ivan Dorantes led the Tigers with a top 10 finish in 21:48.80. Daniel Rodriguez took 14th in the race, clocking in at 22:08.70, while Dillon Burhop (22:21.10) and Memo Amador (22:23.00) finished within two seconds of each other.

The Orange Empire Conference Championship is just around the corner on Friday, Oct. 31, and RCC looks to keep building momentum heading into its final race of the regular season, next week at the Cal State Fullerton Titan Invite.
