Tigers Take Fifth at John Elders Invite
Riverside City College took fifth at the John Elders Titan Invite Friday night in its final tune-up before the postseason begins.
The Tigers posted 99 points as a team, just four points behind fellow Orange Empire Conference member Orange Coast College (95 points).
Nadia Munoz led RCC with a sixth-place finish individually, clocking in at 18 minutes, 7.6 seconds.
Citlaly Ruiz followed with a time of 19:10.9 to take 18th overall. Celeste Mendoza finished in 20:13.3, while Audianna Salgado and Jaiden Kelly posted times of 20:44.5 and 20:54.9, respectively.
The Tigers shift their attention to the postseason, heading to the OEC Championship on Friday, Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m., where they will look to defend their conference championships and make it four in a row.
