Tigers Take on Tough Competition at Coyote Invite
Riverside City College took on tough competition at the Coyote Challenge, hosted by Cal State San Bernardino, Saturday morning.
Celeste Mendoza led the Tigers with a time of 20 minutes, 40.8 seconds to finish in the top 50 and was the top finisher from a two-year college. Audianna Salgado followed with a time of 22:27.9, while Caitlyn Brody wasn't far behind in 22:47.1.
Evangeline Ibarra crossed the finish line in 26:19.0 and Marian Juarez rounded out the runners for RCC in 29:10.3.
The Tigers took sixth overall at the event, finishing more than 30 points in front of fellow two-year program Mt. San Jacinto.
Riverside takes almost two weeks off before heading to the Golden West Invitational on Sept. 19.
