Riverside City College opened Orange Empire Conference action with a three-set sweep over Santa Ana College Wednesday night (25-13, 25-19, 25-20).
The Tigers improve to 3-9 on the year and begin conference with a 1-0 mark, while the Dons drop to 4-6 overall, 0-1 in the OEC.
As a team, Riverside posted 13 aces in the match, with Keira Isgar finishing with four on the night. Aurora McCulley added three aces, while Riley Rush and Madison Pastorius each chipped in two aces for the Tigers.
Offensively, Jayden Franchere led RCC with 10 kills on a solid .308 attack percentage. Sara Brittin followed with seven kills, while Rush dished out 20 assists.
Defensively, Isgar and Savannah Smith each posted 13 digs to help Riverside pick up the win.
The Tigers look to carry momentum into Friday's road match as they head to Saddleback College for a 6 p.m. contest.
