Riverside City College fell to Golden West College in straight sets (15-25, 21-25, and 18-25) on Wednesday night to close out the first half of the Orange Empire Conference schedule.
The Tigers drop to 5-14 on the year, 3-5 in OEC action, while the Rustlers improve to 10-3 overall, 6-2 in conference.
Sara Brittin stood out with 11 kills on 16 attempts, hitting at an impressive .562 clip, while also contributing five block assists. Jayden Franchere made an impact at the net with two solo blocks and three block assists. Riley Rush effectively facilitated the offense with 24 assists, adding three kills and a service ace, while Madison Pastorius finished with five kills and nine digs.
