Riverside Announces Volleyball Coaching Changes
Riverside City College has announced Kiyhanna "Coach Kiy" Dade as the new Head Volleyball Coach, while Ayana Felton will take over the helm of the Tigers' beach volleyball program.
Dade brings more than a decade of coaching experience across club volleyball, collegiate programs, Division I athletics, and professional athlete development. She is widely recognized for her high-energy leadership, technical expertise, and strong commitment to student-athlete development both on and off the court.
"I am excited about the leadership, vision, and energy Coach Kiy and Ayana will bring to RCC Athletics," said Director of Athletics/Dean of Kinesiology. "I am confident Kiy will make a significant impact on our volleyball program and the student-athlete experience."
In addition to her collegiate coaching background, Dade is a nationally respected trainer and educator who has collaborated with programs at the high school, club, and collegiate levels across the country. She owns and operates a premier training facility in Corona, where athletes train year-round to develop elite defensive skills, mental toughness, and a high-performance mindset.
Dade's approach is grounded in her core values of compete, courage, character, and commitment, and she is passionate about building a championship culture that supports both athletic success and academic achievement.
Felton spent the last season as the assistant coach for the Tigers' Beach Volleyball team and brings coaching experience at the NAIA and club levels. She brings collegiate playing experience after playing for La Sierra University, where she earned back-to-back MVP honors and was named the Female Athlete of the Year. After she graduated, Felton coached the Eagles and helped La Sierra advance to the postseason.
