Tigers Grab Second Victory Over a Four-Year School
Riverside City College took a break from conference action and grabbed a 7-2 victory over four-year institution Hope International on Friday.
The Tigers improve to 8-2 on the year, while the Royals drop to 2-6 overall.
RCC swept the doubles competition. Matias Almeida and Ethan Lee got things going with an 8-1 victory, before Charalampos Plataniotis and Vinicius Magrin picked up an 8-4 win and Ronith Sreeram and Giovanne Recchia sealed the deal with an 8-6 win.
Recchia (6-1, 6-3), Plataniotis (7-5, 6-3), Magrin (6-3, 6-2), and Lee (6-4, 7-6 (7-5)) grabbed individual wins.
The Tigers resume Orange Empire Conference action on Tuesday, hosting Fullerton College at 2 p.m.
