Tigers See All Three Doubles, Six Singles Qualify for 3C2A Championship

For the second straight year, Riverside City College saw all three doubles teams and six singles qualify for the 3C2A State Championship.

Going into Thursday's OEC Qualifying Tournament, only two Tigers needed to compete to earn their spot in the State Championship.

Ethan Lee and Matias Almeida each won their qualifying matches easily as Lee won his bout 6-0, 6-3, and Almeida picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory.

Ronith Sreeram, Giovanne Recchia, Charalampos Plataniotis, and Vinicius Magrin all automatically qualified based on their seedings, while the doubles pairs also qualified.

The Tigers compete in the SoCal Dual Regionals next week, with matchups still to be determined, before heading to Ojai for the 3C2A State Championship April 23-26.
