Sreeram Advances to the 3C2A Quarterfinals

Riverside City College's Ronith Sreeram is still in the mix for the 3C2A State Championship after the second day of the tournament.

Sreeram picked up a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the Round of 32 before advancing with a 6-2, ret. victory to earn a spot in the quarterfinals.

Charalampos Plataniotis, Giovanne Recchia, and Vinicius Magrin fell in the round of 32 to bow out of the competition.

The Tigers' doubles teams each won their Round of 32 bouts but came up short in the Round of 16 – each battling in three sets – to conclude their seasons.

Sreeram is set to play in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 8 a.m., with the semifinals taking place later that day.
