Tigers Remain Undefeated at Home

Riverside City College defended its home court with a 9-0 sweep over Fullerton College on Tuesday afternoon.

The Tigers improve to 9-2 overall and 2-1 in the Orange Empire Conference with their sixth-straight home win. The Hornets drop to 3-5 on the year and 0-3 in conference.

Ronith Sreeram and Giovanne Recchia got the day going with an 8-0 doubles victory, before Lucas Koitka and David Rose grabbed an 8-3 win. Charalampos Plataniotis and Vinicius Magrin battled to earn an 8-6 win to give the Tigers three early points.

Ethan Lee and Magrin each shut out their opponents in singles action (6-0, 6-0), while Sreeram, Recchia, and Plataniotis each won on similar 6-0, 6-1 scores. Matias Almeida sealed the 9-0 sweep with a 6-0, 6-2 win.

The Tigers are back at home on Thursday, hosting Orange Coast College at 2 p.m.
