RCC Grabs Third Straight Win
Riverside City College picked up its third straight win Friday morning, grabbing a 13-8 victory over Crafton Hills College in its home debut.
The Tigers improve to 3-2 on the year, while the Roadrunners slip to 0-3.
Luke Bills scored six goals and drew three ejections for RCC, while Yanti Quijada netted five goals and grabbed three steals. David DeAnda and Zachary McDonald also scored for the Tigers.
Leonardo Davis made 11 saves to pick up the win in the cage.
After Crafton Hills pulled within one early in the third, but Bills scored back-to-back goals to end the quarter, sparking a 5-0 surge from the Tigers to all but put the game away. Bills scored three of the five goals in the spurt, while Quijada and McDonald also got in on the action.
Riverside takes a couple of weeks off to get ready for Orange Empire Conference action later this month, hosting Saddleback College on Sept. 24 at 3 p.m.
