Tigers Take Down Griffins on the Road

Riverside City College got back on track with a 7-2 victory over Grossmont College on Tuesday afternoon.

The Tigers improve to 2-1 on the year, while the Griffins drop to 1-1 overall.

RCC swept the doubles competition, with sisters Julianna Capraro and Angelina Capraro getting things going with an 8-4 victory. Fleurdeliz Libutan and Natalia Gomez picked up an 8-2 victory before Victoria Herrera and Brianna Nikas dug deep to pull out a 9-7 win, giving the Tigers an early 3-0 lead.

Both Capraros, Nikas, and Libutan also won their singles competitions to secure the team win for Riverside.

The Tigers return home to host San Diego City on Thursday at 2 p.m.
