Riverside Keeps Rolling With Seventh-Straight Win

Riverside City College kept rolling with its seventh-straight victory Tuesday afternoon, grabbing a 9-0 sweep on the road at Fullerton College.

The Tigers improve to 8-1 on the year and 3-0 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Hornets drop to 1-10 overall, 0-3 in conference.

RCC dominated the doubles portion of the match, allowing Fullerton just one point as Victoria Herrera/Brianna Nikas and Fleurdeliz Libutan/Natalia Gomez each shut out their opponents 8-0. Julianna Capraro and Angelina Capraro secured the three points with an 8-1 victory.

Angelina Capraro carried momentum into her singles match and shut out her opponent (6-0, 6-0) before Libutan won her match (6-1, 6-1) to all but seal the victory for the Tigers.

All four remaining Tigers won their matches to give Riverside its fifth 9-0 victory of the year.

RCC continues on the road, heading to Orange Coast College on Thursday for a 2 p.m. matchup.
