Two Tiger Doubles, One Individual Still Competing at 3C2A State Tournament

Riverside City College saw two doubles teams and one individual keep advancing in the 3C2A State Championship.

Julianna Capraro and Angelina Capraro earned their spot in the Round of 32 after grabbing a 6-1, 6-1 win on Friday.

Victoria Herrera and Brianna Nikas battled to grab a 6-4, 77-63  victory to stay alive in the doubles tournament.

Herrera also advanced to the quarterfinals in the singles tournament after opening with a 6-3, 6-0 win in the Round of 32 and a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the Round of 16.

Both doubles teams compete Saturday morning before the quarterfinals take place later in the afternoon. Herrera's singles competition gets started first thing Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
