RCC's Libutan Qualifies as Singles and Doubles Competitor for 3C2A State Championship

Riverside City College adds another doubles team and singles player to its list of qualifiers for the 3C2A State Championship.

Fleurdeliz Libutan qualified both individually and as a doubles team with partner Natalia Gomez Friday at the Orange Empire Conference Tournament.

As a pair, the Tigers defeated their opponent 8-2 to advance to Ojai, Calif., later this month.

Individually, Libutan battled in her opening match, grabbing a 9-8 (3) victory before picking up a second win (8-6) to earn her spot in the State Championship Tournament.

The 3C2A State Championship is set for April 23-26 in Ojai, Calif.
