Tigers Battle to Bounce Back

Riverside City College bounced back with a 5-4 victory over Glendale College Friday afternoon.

The Tigers improve to 9-2 overall, while the Vaqueros drop to 5-6 on the year.

RCC battled in doubles competition with Victoria Herrera and Brianna Nikas grabbing a 9-8 (6) win and Julianna Capraro and Angelina Capraro picking up an 8-6 victory. The Tigers also grabbed a default win to head into singles action up 3-0.

Fleurdeliz Libutan sealed the team win for the Tigers with a 6-4, 6-0 singles win after Glendale battled back to win four singles matches.

Riverside is back home on Wednesday, hosting Santa Barbara City College at 2 p.m.
