Tigers Win Ranked Showdown with Knights

After dropping two of the three doubles matchups, No. 4-ranked Riverside City College battled back to grab a 6-3 victory over No. 3-ranked San Diego City College on Thursday afternoon.

The Tigers improve to 3-1 overall, while the Knights drop to 1-3 on the year.

Julianna Capraro and Angelina Capraro picked up the first win for RCC, grabbing an 8-4 doubles win to start the match. The sisters carried momentum into their singles matches as both won their individual matches in three sets.

Victoria Herrera and Brianna Nikas each won their singles matches in two sets, while Fleurdeliz Libutan also picked up a singles win to help Riverside grab the team win.

RCC looks to keep rolling as it hosts No. 7-ranked Mt. San Jacinto College on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
