Tigers Grab Sixth Straight Win, Third Straight 9-0 Sweep

Riverside City College grabbed its sixth win in a row and third-straight 9-0 sweep Thursday afternoon, beating Mt. San Antonio College in conference action.

The Tigers improve to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the Orange Empire Conference. The Mounties drop to 3-5 on the year and 1-2 in conference action.

Mt. SAC only had four players, giving RCC an early 3-0 lead. Victoria Herrera and Brianna Nikas picked up an 8-1 doubles win before Julianna Capraro and Angelina Capraro grabbed an 8-3 victory to seal the doubles sweep.

Natalia Gomez, Herrera, Fleurdeliz Libutan picked up singles wins before Caroline Pedrero closed out the team win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

The Tigers head out on the road for a pair of conference games, first taking on Fullerton College on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
