Capraro Sisters Named OEC Doubles Team of the Year
Riverside City College saw sisters Angelina Capraro and Julianna Capraro named the Orange Empire Conference Doubles Team of the Year.
The duo head into postseason with the No. 1 ranking from the OEC, automatically qualifying for the 3C2A State Championship later this month in Ojai, Calif.
Together, the Capraros boast a 12-2 record, including a five-game winning streak heading into the postseason. Their two losses came in close battles, dropping an 8-6 loss to LA Mission College's top doubles and a tight 99-87 loss to Orange Coast College, which they later avenged.
The pair will compete at the 3C2A State Championship in Ojai, April 23-26.
