Tigers Finish Strong to Defeat Warriors

Riverside City College put together a big fourth quarter to grab a 47-42 victory over El Camino College Tuesday night.
The Tigers improve to 5-9 on the year, while the Warriors slip to 1-11 overall.
Skyy Simmons led the Tigers with a double-double, finishing with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Brianna Ruelas followed with 11 points, while also dishing out six assists.
Kylah Guillory chipped in 10 rebounds to help Riverside dominate the glass 70-41.
After finding themselves trailing 34-30 heading into the fourth, the Tigers came out on a 9-0 run to take control of the game and never looked back. Cheyenne Thomas sparked the scoring spree with a jumper off a Simmons assist before giving the Tigers the lead after draining a shot from beyond the arc.
El Camino called a timeout, but the Tigers kept pushing and held on for the 47-42 victory.
RCC looks to carry momentum over as it returns home to host Antelope Valley College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
