Riverside City College battled in its final home nonconference game of the season but ultimately fell 65-56 to Antelope Valley College Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers slip to 5-10 on the year, while the Marauders improve to 5-7.
As a team, Riverside shot 33.3 percent from the floor, but couldn't get shots from the perimeter (14.3 percent) or the charity stripe (40.0 percent) to fall.
Skyy Simmons led RCC with 14 points (7-for-17), while Salote Patetefa posted a double-double with 12 points (6-for-13) and 10 rebounds.
The Tigers put together a solid second quarter, outscoring the Marauders 20-6 to sit within one point at halftime, 34-33, but couldn't keep the visitors at bay in the final 10 minutes as AVC held RCC to 11 points in the fourth to seal the 65-56 victory.
Riverside closes out the year at Citrus College on Tuesday, Dec. 30, with a 3 p.m. tipoff before opening Orange Empire Conference action in the new year.
