RCC Scores Big in Fourth But Comes Up Short

Riverside City College once again put up a big fourth quarter, outscoring No. 10-ranked Irvine Valley College 21-12, but it wasn't enough to overcome the home team in a 75-47 loss.
The Tigers drop to 6-20 overall and 0-10 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Lasers improve to 21-4 on the year and 7-2 in conference.
Brianna Ruelas led RCC with 14 points (6-for-16), while Alexa Moreno chipped in 10 points, and JC Butler (2-for-5) added another nine points.
Paisley Johnson grabbed a team-high six rebounds in the game.
Riverside has just two games left on the season, heading to No. 25-ranked Santa Ana College on Thursday before closing out the year at home on Feb. 18 against No. 7-ranked Cypress College.
