Riverside City College shook off a rough first quarter but couldn't complete the comeback victory in a 71-50 loss on the road at Fullerton College.
The Tigers drop to 6-18 on the year and 0-8 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Hornets improve to 11-13 overall and 3-5 in conference.
Brianna Ruelas led RCC with a double-double, posting 17 points (6-for-21) and 10 rebounds, while also adding six assists, five steals, and two blocks.
Riverside only scored four points in the first quarter and battled back to score 22 in the second, but couldn't overcome the deficit in the 71-50 loss.
