Riverside City College competed at the We are MC Invitational, hosted by Moorpark College, Thursday through Saturday, and went 1-2 on the week. The Tigers fell 60-43 to San Jose City College and 69-40 to East Los Angeles College, but grabbed a 59-56 overtime victory over LA Valley College.
The Tigers move to 1-4 on the year; the Jaguars sit at 3-1 overall; the Monarchs boast a 1-2 mark; and the Huskies stand at 4-1 on the year.

Against the Jaguars, Michelle Soto (4-for-5) and Alexa Moreno (4-for-6) led the Tigers with eight points each. Zakai Howard (3-for-4) and JC Butler (2-for-6) also chipped in seven points, while Brianna Ruelas dished out seven assists.

RCC saw two Tigers finish in double figures against the Monarchs, led by Moreno's 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Amia McKinney followed with 11 points, also shooting 50 percent from the floor (4-for-8). Salote Patetefa grabbed 11 rebounds to help Riverside dominate the glass 54-37.
East LA def. RCC, 69-40
Ruelas led Riverside against the Huskies with a double-double, posting 15 points and 10 rebounds. Howard also grabbed double-digit boards with 10, while Moreno picked up seven rebounds and finished with six points.
The Tigers head to Imperial Valley College on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. tipoff.
