Riverside City College closed the first half of the conference season off on the road, falling 70-29 to No. 8-ranked Cypress College.
The Tigers slip to 6-16 on the year and 0-6 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Chargers improve to 16-5 overall and 3-2 in conference.
RCC struggled from the floor, finishing with a 21.4 shooting percentage, including 7.1 percent from beyond the arc and just 30.8 percent from the free-throw line.
Alexa Moreno (2-for-8) and Zakai Howard (3-for-3) led the Tigers with six points each, while Howard also nabbed a team-high seven rebounds and Moreno grabbed four steals.
Riverside returns home to take on another top-10-ranked team as No. 9-ranked Orange Coast College comes to town on Friday, Jan. 30, for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
