Riverside City College came up short against No. 9-ranked Orange Coast College in a 69–30 loss on Friday.
The Tigers move to 6-17 on the year, 0-7 as they begin the second half of the OEC schedule, while Orange Coast improves to 17-6 and 5-2.
Zakai Howard provided a spark off the bench and led RCC with six points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds in just 17 minutes. She also had five blocks on the night. Brianna Ruelas also added six points and grabbed eight boards.
As a team, Riverside shot 16.7 percent from the floor, without a single three-pointer on the night.
RCC looks to regroup as it heads back out on the road to take on Fullerton College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
